Following a fishing trip to Steamboat Springs, Debbie wanted to paint a picture of the beautiful rainbow trout that she had caught. Together with her father, Johnnie Fields, Debbie painted her first painting. In 2010, Debbie took her first watercolor class with her father. From that moment, Debbie loved watercolor and wanted to continue to learn. She has taken from many artists and continues to learn more about watercolor. She loves to paint from her own photographs that vary from flowers, cactus, hill country scenes, wildflowers, and portraits of her grandchildren.
